Default Fedora Core Partitioning

I downloaded the version of fedora core 4.

i have 1 hard drive. i am running windows xp home.
i want to have it dual boot keeping the windows and fedora.

i have been reading about how to parition it correctly. from what i have read i should have 4 paritions

1 parition for windows
1 parition for / (root)
1 parition for /boot
1 partiation for swap (2x RAM)

now my question is, if i want to keep windows, should i add 3 more paritions for linux using partition magic? or should i use the partition utility during the Fedora setup?

I am nervous about the Fedora parition utility.

There are 2 choices:
I can automatic partition or manually parition

if i automatically partition it gives me 3 options:
remove all linux partitions, remove all paritions, and keep partitions and use unpartitioned space to install Fedora

if i had chosen manually parition it allows me to use Disk Druid
From what i read i can set up the paritions here. i am unsure whether i would use edit or new. right now there is 1 parition. would i use edit to add paritions. or new to add partitions for Fedora?

Basically my fear is erasing windows. Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you!!
