My hard drive which used to use LILO to dual boot with linux has now stopped working and just repeats L 99 99 99.. etc whenever I try to boot from it. There are still some files on the computert I want which I don't think can be accessed externally, i.e. emails from outlook express. What can be done?

Just ran PartitionMagic which claims the broken hard drive was partitioned with a different drive geometry and looks like I'm gonna have to find somewhere to back up 6gb of data and just reformat. Pity both my 20gb and 40gb hard drives are broken, my unlucky week i guess.
