Default dual booting with 2.6 kernal

I am currently running fedora core (2.4 kern) and windoze xp on my laptop together and the dual booting works fine. I have read numerous forum posts that people are having trouble dual booting windoze and fedora core 2 with a 2.6 kernal. there is talk of some dual boot bug. if anybody has heard about or had any trouble dual booting fedora core 2 please share it with me. i am currently downloading FC2 and untill i can get a winmodem driver for linux i have no choice but to run windoze on the same machine and use a share partition. So if anybody has any info on this, it would be appreciated.
