Default Dock!

I want a MAC OSX dock look-alike on my Slackware install.

I have the latest version of KDE.

All of the ones I have tried (kooldock, kxdocker, and some other ones) don't work very well at all.

Does anyone know of any good ones that are easy to use?

Those are the only ones. I think kxdocker works very well.

Well, I would use it if I could figure out how to put new icons on. Whenever I do, they don't show up and I have no idea how to make them work.

I tried kxdocker just now and I can't figure out how it works either...

I'd try kooldock and see how it works, but its not in the apt repositories, and I'm too lazy to compile it and try it right now

How about e17's dock...of course, that kind of requires using e17 first...

At http://enlightenment.org which is Enlightenment's homepage, you can get a Slackware package for e16, but not e17. You'd have to compile it from source to get a copy of e17.

Don't use Enlightenment. It is based directly off of FVWM. It is a resource hog and KDE is just flexible enough. I had problems with KXDocker too like that, but I got my icons to stay on there by typing in something for every entry possible in the configurator.
