Default Distribution Guide

Hi everyone, i'm trrying to write a simple guide to distributions for beginners. What sort of things should I include in your opinion, it needs to be accessible to people who don't know a lot about linux. I was hoping to cover about 5 distro's so that the reader is not overwhelmed and want to cover as broad a spectrum as possible. The site is linked in my signature.

Thanks,
Matt

well, all I can say is:

Mandrake Linux
SuSe
Debian
Fedora
Slackware

You can always suggest also, to use a liveCD distro, just so n00bs can get used to linux. HOPE I HELPED!!

You should identify the following things in your guide:

1. The advantages of Linux over Windows.
2. A little history about the development of Linux over the years, ever since its creation.
3. Mention the main distributions:
-Debian
-Slackware
-Red Hat/Fedora
-Mandrake
4. Talk about the command line.
