| Monster Techie | I am wanting to burn an ISO Images of linux on a cd so I don't have to really install it, I just don't know which distribution to choose. Which is the best for a beginner at linux?

| Wizard Techie | Mandrake Linux or SuSe Linux. Both are user friendly... well as far as Linux goes anyway. Both have very easy installation and good documentation.

| Wizard Techie | Linux is open source, which means that it's usaully free. The sites HoLoCroN gave are good and if you are interested in even more 'flavors' of Linux, you can go here: http://www.distowatch.org

| Monster Techie | Ok, SuSe costs money, and I don't know which mandrake download is right for me. I just want the ISO Image.

| First of all, the .iso image is usually three or four CD's which means you will need three or four .iso images. Give Red Hat a try, it might have what you are looking for www.redhat.com http://www.distowatch.org |
