Default DBD::mysql Perl module install
I'm trying to install the DBD::mysql module for Perl using CPAN on Ubuntu 8.04. I'm getting some errors here. I had some other errors about not finding mysql.h, so I installed the libmysqlclient15-dev package and that fixed it. But now, I'm getting a different error.

Looks like it wants a database called "test" and and a user "root" with no password so it can run some tests.

Yeah, I figured as much. I made a database called test, and a root user with no password on domain localhost. I also tried root on all domains (%) but that didn't work either.

Check that the user it wants is still root and that mySQL is up and working.

Yup, MySQL is up and running, and using PHP I can connect with that user and have full privileges.
