Default Changing Partition Size on hard drive

Hi guys,

sorry if this sounds like an obvious question, but i'm having a slight problem. I installed Ubuntu on my laptop and when I was making the partition, I left Windows with only 60GB of Hard Disk space and the rest (about 250GB) was left for Linux. I actually wanted to make it the other way round. I installed Gnome Partition editor and tried to unmount the volume to adjust the partition size but it says I need to do it manually as another partition may be mounted on the mountpoints.

I tried to unmount manually but when I do that, an error message appears saying I am not privileged to do so. Is there any way round this?

Thanks for your time.

Yes, burn it to a disk an then restart your computer and boot from CD like you did when you installed Linux or any OS.

use "sudo umount <mount point>". The "sudo" gives you administrator privileges.
