hempage Newb Techie Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 17	Changing hostname How do you change the hostname of your computer in Linux. I'm using Mandrake 9.1.

ESmandrake Newb Techie Join Date: Jan 2004 Posts: 21	Call hostname from a root prompt like so: fubar:/ # hostame new-name new-name being whatever you want to change the name to. btw, my nick is a bit misleading, I've switched to Debian and i don't think I'll be going back. ~~~ Steve
