Default Changing hostname

How do you change the hostname of your computer in Linux. I'm using Mandrake 9.1.

Call hostname from a root prompt like so:

fubar:/ # hostame new-name

new-name being whatever you want to change the name to. btw, my nick is a bit misleading, I've switched to Debian and i don't think I'll be going back.
