Default Cedega + San Andreas problem

So I got Cedega installed, and installed Grand Theft Auto - San Andreas through it (it took 20+ hours of leaving my computer on while it installed  ), but when I click Play to start the game it says that it cannont find the 800x600x32 video mode.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

check you have that mode in you xorg.conf

sounds to me the game wants to start in that res only, so you'll need your xorg.conf to at least contain it so the game can start, then you should be able to change the options from within the game to something better after the first boot.

Yeah, I have all the options in my xorg.conf file so it can go up to a depth of 24 (from what I hear this is the equivalent of 32 on windows). I tried making it 32 anyway but it is not supported. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Update: I do have 3 monitors so my xorg.conf file is tweaked, but I tried going back to my original backup for 1 monitor and I still had no luck. This means that it is not Xinerama or TwinView or anything like that that is causing the problem. I appreciate any additional input.

Thanks

This may be a dumb question but did you consult Google? I found some how-to's that looks promising.

And I think I found you on the Ubuntu forum.

Program seems like an blessing from god but I don't know if I can fully trust it since it came from the wine source code.

Doesn't seem to be entirly free though... Some troubles with being a subscriber.

Yeah, it doesn't work too good. 1 in 5 games I've tried has worked.

All the good games have Linux versions anyway :o

I think theres a trial or something, CoD2 supposedly doesnt work, but it worked for me, I dunno.

It's subscription based so you have to login or whatever to use it, otherwise everyone would just get it from warez lol.

It's like 5 bucks a month. Yeah.

hehe yep, that second link was one of my posts. I pretty much googled every keyword from my problem, so I already found that first link you posted. Thanks for looking though! The only things I could find were forum posts that were not responded to, and one or two sites in spanish (I tried translating them, but it didnt help).

And you can just leave the subscription info blank if you already have the program... hehehe
