Default Cant seem to learn linux???

Rite, ive bought a Red Hat Linux 9 book so that i can learn it. I have it installed on my laptop and also on a second harddrive on my desktop.

My problem is i never want to use it, so i use Windows instead.

I think my main problem is that i cant get any drivers for my modem, therefore linux doesnt have the internet.

I've searched the net for linux modems and asked around various PC shops to see of they sell them or no of anywhere that sells them but they say that linux doesnt support any modem at all.

Please help!

Firstly, its not true that linux supports no modems, but support is at no where near the level of the windows world.

What modem have you got?

We can give you more specific advice if you tell us what your equipment is.

go here link to find a compatible modem.

Some modems rely heavily on software rather than hardware, aka win modems. There is not very much support for these yet under linux.
