Default Cable Modem help

I installed the driver for my cable modem, now Comcast (the *******s they are) has a CD that I have to use to use the modem, but it's a windows CD , anyone know how I can run it?


P.S. I am using SuSE Linux 9.0

nice, i swear if my isp does that with my cable modem i will raise so much ****. i'll look for u but til then i have no idea and ur isp doesnt provide a nix cd if requested, how do they expect u to get online

What is the make/model of the modem... Can you ping its default IP address?
Linux works with cable modems, you probably need to install PPPoE to get it to work..
