Default Bug on Fedora Core 3 Instalation

Hi:

I´m new in Linux and I´m trying to install Fedora Core 3 in my computer as a second OS.
When running Anaconda I get several dialog boxes with title "Bug" and saying:

"Assertion (heads < 256) at disk_dos.c:486 in function probe_partition_for_geom() failed"

"Assertion ((C*heads + H) *sectors + S==A) at disk_dos.c:495 in function probe_partition_for_geom() failed"

"Assertion (heads < =63) at disk_dos.c:490 in function probe_partition_for_geom() failed"

After this, the insatalation exits.

Can someone give some help on this?

I´m using an AMD k6-2 450 MHz with windows Me. I have 2 HDD, one (master) with 120 GB and the other ( slave) with 8.5 GB. 320 MB of RAM.
I have two partitons on the 120 GB HDD, the boot one and the other empty. I want to install Linux on this partition.

Thanks.
Joao

horndude is on a distinguished road

Default

Is the second partition on the drive you want to install to empty, it needs to be not even there, so if you run fdisk on the drive it wont be listed as all, the only thing that should show up is the prexisting windows partition and empty space unless youve already made the linux partition(s), and with fedora you dont even need to do that, it will do that on its own.
