Default Bootable distro with hardware idagnostics?

As the title says, I'm looking for a bootable distro with a good set of hardware diagnostics. I have a computer that won't accept any OS installation without freezing (long story but everything except MB and CPU has been replaced with known working hardware, see 'bad MB or processor' thread in troubleshooting forum). I want to see if it will run a bootable distro and then run a set of diagnostics to see if I can find out exactly what the problem is.

I am very out of practice with Linux (been over a year since I ran a disto as my server) so anything a bit noob-ish would be healpful.

Prophet621,

Stress Linux Looks good, it is a specilized Linux Distro for H/W testing

http://www.stresslinux.org/

Or you could search http://freshmeat.net for "stress test" for some alternate Programs, but I think Stress Linux is your best bet
