Smile a big. - cluster.

The level of computing I need for work has become too great for a single computer.

I want an 8 machine cluster, with 16 monitors.

It needs to run Debian.

64 bit CPUS, and SLI cards.

I want the cluster networked to a single terrabyte hdd.

Has anyone done this with similar hardware specifications?

cheers-

fish

nobody makes a terrabyte harddrive for desktop PC's

also doubtful that SLI will do you any good at all because the programming needed to make use of it with a parallel written application probably doesnt exist

if you can afford all that, you can afford to pay IBM to make it for you

ah, but the point would be to make it myself.

Sorry if we sound noobish, but this isn't the hardware forum
