When the pc had the boot disk error on it it beeped all the time... beep... beep.... in a high-low rythem.... ex: high, low, high, low... ect. I have open SUSE 11 up and running but the beeps are still there!!! how do I stop the BEEPS!!! |

| Re: BEEP!! openSUSE 11 Are you sure it isnt a hardware failure? If it is still there that would most likely be the issue.

| Re: BEEP!! openSUSE 11 Constant beeping usually means a fan failure of some sort as it can cause serious damage to the system. It isn't SuSE 11 doing it if Windows was doing it as well. They are the most opposite operating systems you can alternate from. |

| Re: BEEP!! openSUSE 11 I figured that it wasn't an SUSE issue... all fans are working, new battery on motherboard... still beeping.... anyway to disable motherboard speaker??? i can't unplug it because it is part of the motherboard. |

| Re: BEEP!! openSUSE 11 Yeah, those beeps are a message man. Look up some documentation of that model and see what the pattern of beep codes stands for. |

| Re: BEEP!! openSUSE 11 I don't have the manual for anything on the PC. It came from someone my dad knows and they don't have anything either. I know that it is crapping old. It is at least 4 -5 years old. The cpu fan is working... I unplugged the fan and the pc freaked out even more. |
