f15h is on a distinguished road

Question a basic, stripped, distro?

I need a distro that is very graphically customizable... and very bare.

Something that I can change easily and install most packages by myself.

clean

merci,

I would do a minimal debian install. For the desktop environment, I would use Xfce. It is light, customizable, and looks great.

F15H,

I came across a Live CD (not sure if it comes in full) called dead CD very basic OS that you can customize yourself, Otherwise the Redhat distros are very good because you can pick and choose which packages you install.

I reccomend RH8, ran great on my pentium II 350 (b4 I upgraded to Ubuntu)

This is kind of a pointless question and thread..........linux is modular by its nature, once youve got a basic toolchain and filesystem setup you can do whatever you want, which leaves one possible suggestion, keep doing research and learning about the operating system that is linux and make it whatever you want it to be.

Personally I really dont understand what exactly is you want f15h, youve asked similar questions before and until you either learn more or refine your questions your not likely to get any decent answers.Do you want to install precompiled binaries or compile from source? What EXACTLY do you want to do?
