Default backup software

Hello,
Previously I was running a windows machine as my home file server. On this I had installed AutoBackup and Second Copy 2000 for backups. Autobackup made an archival backup such as backup-2004-01-20.hbk and second copy would create a mirror of the drive at a specific time each night say like 10:00pm. I recently switched to Red Hat 9 and love it. But I am missing my backup programs. I could just mirror the drives but I don't like having do this on the fly, I would rather it mirror them at a specific time each night. This is much better for me because occationally I will delete a file and I simply have to go to the second drive and copy it back, but if I actually mirror the drives then it would be deleted from both drives at the same time. Is there a Linux equivalent to this program and what does everyone else use for backup?

Thanks,
Andy
