Default advice on embedded linux

hello ,

Im using Blue Cat Linux with red hat 9 as its host system .....
I've read the manual and it states that i have a few methods in booting my blue cat linux to my target board . for eg using a floopy , hard disk , network or parallel port......
What would be the most convinient way for me to use..... i would be using a pc as my target board...... When my application is developed in my hostr system what would be the best way to transfer it to the target board. Blue cat is designed for cross development environment.
pls advice........

thanks in advance .......
