| Master Techie | I've always enjoyed messing around with websites. I now have a pretty sound knowledge of HTML, CSS, and PHP and (very) little Javascript. I very much love to make websites or to help people make websites. I think I want to do this for money now. I could go to school for it, but the thing is, I have no idea what to do after that. How does it work? Do I make a company and then just advertise my services? Do I work for someone? I'm not quite sure what to do after I complete schooling. |

| Try again! | I'm in the same boat you are. In college for the degree now. I'm working full time for a company, doing web related things, trying to get my foot in the door. However, I am still trying to market myself as an individual web designer on the side. I have done about 6 or 7 websites on the side for clients - this is basically freelance design. Once you graduate from college, you can work for a company, or do it on your own, or start your own business. It's really up to you what route you want to take. |
