Default Should I apply for an internship job?

My course curriculum doesn't require one but I want to gain some experience working in the field. Should I apply for one? Is it practical?

Yes. You'd be a fool not to.

Definitely go for it. Even if the job isn't an exact match for your major it willbe a good experince and look great on a resume. plus, you get to make a little money, which is always good.

Look into applying with Eaton Corporation. Their website is eaton.com of course. We use a lot of interns, and have the LDP (Leadership Development Plan) for those who want to get going with the company after college (work at about three different facilities for a year each). Check them both out.

no question about it. you should. i regret not doing this myself. it gives you experience and better pickings when it comes time to land your first job. plus, you'll start out with a higher starting salary than a college student who just graduated with no experience (usually).
