Default IT Sector in Canada

Whats the IT sector like for you guys who are already in it within Canada somewhere?
I am over in Calgary and going to go hitup my NNT (Network Engineering Technology) and was wondering if I should take something else, or another after/during, or if I should be ok?
Basically I have a mechanically/visual mind, someone can blabber it off for 400 years and I might understand it close to the end, but if someone tought me or I tought myself (been doing alot of over the past few years) I can pick it up within a few minutes, if that for somethings.

Basically I am looking into going into Networking, system admin, network admin, maintence/recovery, something/all-things along that line. Lately my interest as become clusters, as I am building one out of my room

What do you think my position would be for NNT at SAIT? I heard last year IBM hired 8 of the grad's that came out of the NNT course, so it must be growing, slowly or rapidly.
