Default Passed my A+ Hardware

Heyyo,

W00t! yep folks! I'm half ways to being fully a+ certified!

Lots of questions on SCSI, maybe a couple on IRQ's (doh! I focused on learning these at the last minute too, lol), IDE cables.. also some sockets and IEEE standards. Pretty straightforward text stuff. I just took this test today, so yeah.. btw, they did ask a few questions aboot cabling (stuff like 10baseT, what kindof connectors like RJ-45, DB-25).

So no worries everyone, it's possible to pass. You don't need too high of a percentage to pass (I think 55%), and it was 80 questions.

Heyyo,

I'm gonna wing it n' say the legal age of your country for stuff like alcohol, or maybe driving.

You could always ask nearby technical schools or private schools that have the course about that dude, I'm sure they could give you the answer.

i think you can take the test at any age you want, i would highly advise you start studying for it since you have alot of free time now. When you get older, your going to have to get a job and possibly go to college at the same time, that doesn't leave much time for you to do certs and stuff. Also ask your parents if they will pay for the exam for you, and even if they don't, just start studying and then take the test when your like 17 and have the money from a job. gl.

Congratulations on being a+ certified. Getting the actual certificat in the mail is so exciting, i was so proud when it came!

By the way, not that it matters, but the 55% is kindof untrue. CompTia won't tell you how the test is actually scored. But some questions are worth more than others, and some don't even count (they are just used for there analasys) and the scoring system is very confusing.

Anyways congrats!
