| I am interested in pursuing network security as a career. I have talked to several places, most of them online, and I have a few questions. Is online training worth my money? Not a boot camp place. But a "by your own time" place. Recently a place called CBTdirect.com has been calling me. Subbosidley (sp?) they can give my a set of CompTIA courses (A+ NET+ thru Security+) for $1299. Sounds really good to be true. Would it be better for me to go to a voc training school and get a degree? Then get Certs? I myself, would rather have some hands on training. But if online courses are great, then I wouldn't mind doing that either. Thank you in advance, Brian |

| Yes they do. But ITT has gotten sorta expensive as of late. I believe their Network Security Bachelor's is around 15k. I'm not positive. But I'm not sure what's the best route, a school, or paying a lot less and getting maybe the same schooling over the internet. Thats why I made this post, for answers. ![]() |
