Default microsoft certified

I recently received a call asking if I was interested in receiving microsoft certification training from this company called new horizons. Does the company or the microsoft certification have any clout?

Yes and Yes.

I went thru New Horizons to get my A+ and my Net+ Certifications. The Microsoft Certifications are real as well.

I've heard of them. A bunch of the techies got their M$ Certs for free from the company. I wasn't on the list, unfortunately. I don't know if this was the company they went through but the certifications are definitely a good thing to have.

Oh most definately get a microsoft certification if you can. Being a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) gives you a lot of leverage within the IT business world.

There are a few companies out there that offer certificaiton training and test taking, CompTIA is a large one for the '+' certifications like A+, Security+, etc. If you are working within the IT world certifications are the only bonified way of letting an employer know you know your stuff.
