Marketing techniques you guys use

I wanna get some more business for building Custom comps for people, however so far I've only been able to land a couple a month at best, and that's just from people I meet through family and friends, not internet or anything.

I ran an ad in craigslist but have received no hits so far (4 days).

I'm curious what ways you guys use to expand your customer base, I'm not looking to build 5 a week or anything, but even just 1-2 a week would be enough for me.

Try local papers, also don't just do new builds there is money in the repairs to. Also look at local business they need computers and more I target them exclusively.

Yeah, I mentioned I repair comps too. local businesses, I never really thought of that, although I guess that's because I assumed they had a contract with dell or something, however I'm sure most small businesses don't, I'll try that out man, thanks for the advice.
