Home tutoring for Cisco or ?

Hi, I have been considering going into the IT field, sort of combining earning a wage and doing something I am interested in. I was contemplating trying to work in my spare time with Computer based learning. Has anyone taken this route and maybe throw in a few good course providers. I quote Cisco as following the threads this seems the most lucrative AND interesting route to go. Please feel free to point me in any other direction
