Default wtb: Tuniq tower 120 screws

Hello,

Just got my tuniq tower, dropped it in, and then snap, the screws broke off while I was twisting them.

What I need is the AMD screws, just the two, don't need the springs, but don't mind them either.

Looking for someone who has the tuniq tower and dropped in into an intel system, and still has the AMD screws they can give away/sell cheap. (i.e. under the return shipping cost of a replacement, Plus I don't know if they actually give a new item back, or just a refurbished one..)

Thanks!

This seems to be a common problem with the tuniq. Personally i'd RMA it and get the thermalright ultra-120 instead.

yea, but the tuniq was $45, where the thermalright ultra-120 is $65 then a fan needs to be purchased as well. Also the thermalright does not fit my motherboard... I have a socket 754 AMD.

yea... they are defiantly hard to find, and looking around, it sure seems that they have a problem.

I found an email that someone says to use to contact the manufacturer, and sure enough within 10 min of the email, I had a reply stating that they can replace them and asking for my address, and then again 70 minutes later, another email asking for my address, because I guess I didn't reply quick enough.

But judging from the speed of the reply, they sure seem desperate for the customer, continued business, and know that there is a problem with their product. Too bad there shipping isn't quite as quick though.... eta on the screws is the 20th....

But since the manufacturer says they will send the replacement parts, then I will say that I am no longer buying the part that this thread was created for, as such a mod can lock this thread if desired.

On a side note, the email to use to request replacement parts for the tuniq tower 120, and probably most of sunbeamtech's products, is paul@sunbeamtech.com. I will be sure to tell newegg of this as well, since they did not know whom to contact.
