Exclamation *UPDATED* Independant Rules for Buy/Sell/Trade

As well as the forum rules, Buy/Sell/Trade has some special rules of it's own.

1) Neither Tech-Forums.net nor Tech-Heaven.com are responsible for any "deals". If a deal goes bad, do not attempt to use Tech-Forums as your battleground; post your feedback and take it up outside of tech forums. Sellers/Buyers/Shoppers beware.

2) To participate in the B/S/T forum, you must:
  • Have 40 quality posts. Do NOT make useless posts in order to use this forum.
  • Use the PM system. If you post something for sale you will be expected to respond to PMs sent by prospective buyers/sellers. If you cannot answer the PMs, or your box is continuously full, the thread will be deleted.
3) You must have a SET PRICE for ALL of your products. 'Best Deals', 'PM me for Price' and all of the others will be deleted without warning.

4) Do not post a web-site to your 'GREAT DEAL!', nor a URL to an auction. Post your product, post your price, and possibly post your pics. Shipping details and method of payment needs to be worked out via PM.

5) Do not bump your thread. Thousands of people visit this site every day. If someone is interested they will post and/or search for what they want or are looking for.

6) Pictues posted in B/S/T should be of a moderate size, around 600 x 600. If the image is large, post a thumbnail link or a regular link to it. Large posted images will be deleted.

7) Follow our rules or don't post. Using the B/S/T forum is a privilege, not a right. Respect the site.

8) It is recommended that all buyers/sellers/traders join HeatWare in order to establish and use a rating system. Read their TOS. Please note the following:
  • tech forums members, as buyers/sellers/traders should list the link to their HeatWare account in their sig.
  • Neither Tech-Forums.net nor Tech-Heaven.com are responsible for use or misuse of the heatware rating system.
  • Tech-Forums.net and Tech-Heaven.com cannot guarantee the accuracy of users ratings.
  • Again, Sellers/Buyers/Shoppers beware of those members not using the HeatWare rating system, or those that have bad ratings.

9) No lowballing! If you want to make an offer, make an offer. Don't insult everyone's intelligence by offering a ridiculously low amount, or just a ridiculous amount.
  • Lowball posts will be deleted, and frequent offenders will be warned and enter into the disciplinary course of action.

10) If your post does not follow these rules, it WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTICE.

You should make yourself familiar with these. Please re-read this post since many of the rules are being broken.

Quote:
1) Neither Tech-Forums.net nor Tech-Heaven.com are responsible for any "deals". If a deal goes bad, do not attempt to use Tech-Forums as your battleground; post your feedback and take it up outside of tech forums. Sellers/Buyers/Shoppers beware.
Do NOT use a thread to start a battle or flame war!

  • Use the PM system. If you post something for sale you will be expected to respond to PMs sent by prospective buyers/sellers. If you cannot answer the PMs, or your box is continuously full, the thread will be deleted.
I think that most members take care of this, but please be sure you do.

3) You must have a SET PRICE for ALL of your products. 'Best Deals', 'PM me for Price' and all of the others will be deleted without warning.
We have been warning people for not having the set price in their initial thread. No more warnings! Even if a thread has multiple replies and lots of pages, if the first post does not have a price, it will be deleted. You can state that your prices are negotiable, but there must be one listed.

4) Do not post a web-site to your 'GREAT DEAL!', nor a URL to an auction. Post your product, post your price, and possibly post your pics. Shipping details and method of payment needs to be worked out via PM.
Most of the spammers, which generally do this type of thing, get banned.

Too many are still doing this. You'll need to read the end of this post and realize that you're thread is going to be deleted if you bump it.

I think most of you have been doing this. Please keep the picture sizes so they don't stretch the forum.

Amen! Lately, we're getting lots of complaints. We will take appropriate care of this forum, so the abusers should be aware that abuse, or breaking the rules, will not be tolerated.

Though this is a recommendation, I suggest that you do NOT buy from someone that does not have a heatware account. If you do and a deal is not what is expected, refer to the rules above.

Most of the members visiting this forum know this. However, sometimes a member needs to set another "straight" on their prices. So remember this:

IF YOU'RE NOT INTERESTED IN BUYING NOR SELLING IN A THREAD, THEN STAY OUT OF THE THREAD! It is not anyone's responsibility to make sure that the requested prices are in the correct range particularly since that is an opinion. If you don't want it, don't comment about it!!! For example, if I have a USB cable that costs $40 and I want $100 for it, no one should reply unless they want that cable! If the price I'm asking is too much, I'll soon learn that by the zero replies that I get.

Quote:
10) If your post does not follow these rules, it WILL BE DELETED WITHOUT NOTICE. [/b]
This is very important. If you can't find your post by doing a search, then it's been deleted for a rule infraction. There's no need to PM a Forum Leader and say it was deleted for no reason. There was a good reason, therefore it's no longer there!

If this forum is used appropriately, it can be very beneficial to the users. Please take these rules and remember them.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Dave
