Default Memory Deal of the Day

Memory Deal of the Day

I just noticed these awesome deals on OCZ memory over at the Egg. I say "deals" because there is a total of four triple channel DDR3 kits on sale as well as a two dual channel kits. Hit the link for all the details, kits are starting as low as $70.99 with free shipping.

Can someone explain to me what happened to DDR3 memory prices. Back when i bought my system and ram from over there in the US, the 6GB OCZ Cas7 Plat's were easily fround for $95. There were also heaps of other kits around those specs for sub $100. Now they have Cas 8 sticks (inferior) for $130 on their big sales...

I think DDR2 and DDR3 ram has gone up in price since both are very popular now. So companies need to make lower amounts of both instead of just a bunch of one kind and a little of the other. Its just a guess but I remember prices went up on both when ddr2 started getting big.
