Cool "Hot Deals" Thread - post all great deals here

Due to the recent influx of all the great deals being offered for graphic cards from both Nvidia and ATI, it has become hard for members to get any "air time" for their own items. Rather than start a sub-forum for deal postings, we're going with a dedicated sticky.

This will work much like the "Longest Thread" works in Off Topic. Just add a post of the deal you find on to the thread. If it has an expiration date (that you know of), put it in the post as well. Having chatter in the thread is not a problem, as deals are discussed and compared anyway.

Any deal posts made outside of this thread will either be merged the first time or two the poster does it, and will then be deleted thereafter.

Also keep an eye out on these sites:

Slickdeals.net
Woot : One Day, One Deal (SM)

You might get some crazy deal that's not posted here!

Default gtx 280 now cheaper then 9800gx2

well the gtx280 is now cheaper then the 9800gx2 in canada now.
ncix has them as cheap as 454$ bfeore mail in rebate, and thats evga.
NCIX.com - Buy EVGA E-GEFORCE GTX 280 Superclocked 621MHZ 1024MB 2.268GHZ GDDR3 Dual DVI-I HDCP HDTV Out Video Card - 01G-P3-1282-AR In Canada.
NCIX.com - Buy EVGA E-GEFORCE 9800GX2 600MHZ 1GB 2.0GHZ GDDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDMI HDCP Video Card - 01G-P3-N891-AR In Canada. 9800gx2
now tell me the gtx 280 isnt a good nvidia option for bang for your buck. its only 100$ more expensive so its about 25% more roughly with about 20% increase over the gtx260 depending on the game and the res+ aa and af. im very impressed with this. if prices keep tanking i may order a new psu and sli these cards, i just feel bad for everyone who payed 599.99 for them.

p.s. thanks ati for finaly competing, and making nvidia drop down on prices.

not bad, but I think it needs to drop another $50 bucks and then someone could justify buying one of these instead of a 4870.

Keep Woot.com as one of the main ones, you never know what goodie you usually get there..

Woot : One Day, One Deal (SM)

Newegg.com - VisionTek 900244 Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards (decent deal, but the GTX 260 Maroon posted is a better buy, but if you have a Crossfire-ready chipset these aren't bad buys)
Newegg.com - POWERCOLOR AX4870 512MD5-H Radeon HD 4870 512MB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards (comes with Rainbow Six Vegas)
Newegg.com - EVGA 512-P3-N800-TR GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards (Dual-Slot edition 8800gt 512mb, I think its the AKIMBO one too, good thing its Dual-Slot, these things run hot, but the dual-slot cooler fixes that)

Default Monitor Deals| Post links here VVV

I got 3 monitor deals here, and I wanna know what you guys think of the brand/$, or post a link for another hawt deal.
Newegg.com - Acer AL2416WBsd Silver 24" 5ms Widescreen LCD Monitor 400 cd/m2 1000:1 - LCD Monitors
Newegg.com - Acer P243WAid Black-Silver 24" 2ms(GTG) HDMI Widescreen LCD Monitor with HDCP Support 400 cd/m2 3000:1 ACM - LCD Monitors
Micro Center - DYLM24E6 24" Widescreen LCD

The microcenter deal looks pretty sweet...

In fact the 2nd deal looks pretty darn good, considering how the first one with shipping costs comes close to the 2nd acer. It seems like Acer has the cheapest 24" monitors atm on the egg. Or at least out of companies that I know...
