I would like to have a matching set of HD's for my RAID Array. I currently have a Maxtor 52049H4 (20GB, 7200RPM, ATA/133) and a Western Digital Caviar WD200 (20GB, 7200RPM, ATA/100). Would anyone want to trade me their Maxtor for a Caviar WD200, or their WD Caviar for a Maxtor 52049H4? Please PM me if you're interested. hey just out of curiosity?... why would u want to have the same HD's? it doesnt really make all the much of a difference.... thier both the same size running at the same RPM

I read somewhere that the drives have to be identical - does it matter if they are a different brand?

Not sure on this daveppeters, but I think that they just need to be the same size.
