Default 3D Mark 2005 is out

As the titles says it is out and can be downloaded from muturemark site located here:http://www.futuremark.com/

There are already reviews out where the 6800 and the x800 are tested. The benchmark is quite short with only 3 tests. You can read more from clubic.com (in french though).

The problem with 3D Mark, is that its test arent based on an actual 3D gaming engine. Its based on a synthetic 3D engine that doesnt really exist.

There are other 3d benchmark utilities around that are based on the quake 3D gaming engine. However the names ellude me at the moment.
