| National Telecommunications & Information Administration so now it's supposed to be over 92% of households and 99% of zipcodes that have broadband there's about 43000 zipcodes in the US, so around 430 unserved zips...fine I thought I might be in that group. But they count satellite service as well, and from what I hear, satellite sucks!!! ![]() checkout the pdf for a chart of broadband coverage http://www.ntia.doc.gov/reports/2008...merica2007.pdf I think they shouldn't count satellite ![]() |

| lvl Infinite Psychopath | Satellite Only sucks for gaming, as the latencies are high. But for Internet browsing and downloading its fine. Course that depends on the price..

Some day.... But that is not this day, and I don't know when, I just don't know. |

| My only requirement for our new house was that it had to have broadband, and satellite doesn't count. My wife knew I was serious, and she turned down looking at several houses because of this. Our real estate agent thought she was kidding until she met me. ![]() |

| it's not all that hard to find companies that serve the area with satellite internet...but it's kind of hard to find the cap...because they give you the statements like "if we feel...yada yada" but they don't want to reveal to you what is what, bastages hehe my work I download images and documents, and in a month, it's thousands of megabytes... guess I'll take a shot and ask th em point blank...but need a way to better calculate what I do in a month...their cap might put me at less than what I do, which wouldn't be good |
