Default windows 2000 and XP services

Blkviper has an excellent guide to the services that are installed with Win2k Pro and WinXP. Tweaking these can really increase your boot time and free up some memory. Check it out at http://www.blackviper.com

He's got a lot of other excellent guides too, so check it all out.

A little too much guess work from BV for my liking, if you run a search you can find some better guides (out of respect I wont post the sites because they also contain forums).

Also, instead of creating a hardware profile as BV will have you do, see this thread under the PC Games forum, "Calling ALL Gamers!!". The hardware profile setup is a huge waste of time and effort.
