Truespace 7.6 free download

Microsoft acquired the company Caligari back in February which was probably best known for their 3d modeling and animation software Truespace which came a long way since its initial release on the Commodore Amiga back in 1994.
Well two days ago Microsoft announced that the new version of Truespace would be free for download for everyone. That’s right, all you need to do is head over to the registration page, enter your details and you are ready to download the 130 Megabyte software, 51 Megabyte PDF manual and 132 MB of videos.
Registering gives users not only access to the software but also to the forums, technical support and shared spaces which are valuable for beginners.
One of the biggest chances that has been introduced in this version of Truespace is the connection to Live Search Maps and probably the main reason why Microsoft has decided to release Truespace 7.6 as a free download. I’m personally always a bit wary when Microsoft gives away software because they have used their position and this method in the past to gain an overwhelming market share. Internet Explorer anyone?

I posted on the caligari thing a while ago...I got this info a few days ago and wanted to wait until I dl'd and tested it on vista but still haven't gotten it yet...dialup and all...I'll see if I can dl it via broadband

and also love the internet explorer...the world is a better place with free browsers

imagine if we had to pay for every interpretor component, gui renderer, text editor, html editor, bmp viewer, tif viewer, gif viewer, jpeg viewer, etc etc...
