Resize your desktop icons

Go to Control Panel, display, Desktop
Click the "Appearance" tab
then click the "Advanced" button
Select "Icon" from the "Item" dropdown menu
Select the size you want, down to 16

be careful, it resizes ALL icons, even the control panel icons
