Default How To Increase The Size Of Vista Alt+Tab Thumbnails

If you’re a Vista user you will know that when you use the ALT+TAB function live thumbnails are displayed for the applications that you have running, which is very cool. Well, with a few registry tweaks you can make these thumbnails bigger and sexier.
To change the size of Vista’s ALT TAB thumbnails do the following:
  1. download this registry file.
  2. The file has settings that are optimized for displays that are 1680×1050. If you have a different size monitor then open the file in a text editor (e.g Notepad) and adjust the MaxThumbSizePx to match your resolution as best you can:
    • 1024×768: MaxThumbSizePx = 00000078
    • 1280×1024: MaxThumbSizePx = 0000009E
    • 1680×1050: MaxThumbSizePx = 000000d2
    • 1920×1200: MaxThumbSizePx = 000000f5
  3. When you’ve done this then right-click on the file and then select Merge. This will import it into your registry using the values specified in the file. this will change the size of your Vista ALT+Tab Thumbnails
  4. If you don’t like the results, then you can remove the changes by deleting the following ‘folder’ from the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER’Software’Microsoft’Windows’
    CurrentVersion’Explorer’AltTab
Thanks to CyberNet News for the great tip.
