Completely free? As in, a full license?
Edit: Cool, a whole year's worth. Dunno what benefits it has over the Free one I use normally tho.

Yes. But there is a catch. You have to give them your credit card information in order to complete the transaction. While nothing will be charged to your account, that doesnt mean that in a year's time when the license expires that they wont auto charge you for a new license.

Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier osirus and mak, I just checked my email and cellphone and zonealarm had left me a message with the good news.

Is their any antivirus program that can very closely match eset ?
I like eset but they want 49.99 for their product than another 10.00 for a backup cd ?
I've been using their new antivirus for about 90 days and it's about to expire within a week.

I still think Microsoft Security Essentials is more than enough with a proper router. I have been running just that since the first beta hit and i have yet to find a single infection. I have also TRIED to get infected and it caught it all.

This has been confirmed by going through Osiris's Guide after each attempt. Tested not only in Win7 but in XP via XP Mode as well.

Medium warning to those that used their CC to get zonealarm pro 2010 for free.
I checked my paypal account about a hour ago, there was a 39.90 charge pending to go through.
I chatted with tonya at zonealarm.com, she says the reason why I have that, because it is a preauthorization to make sure the CC are real and they are not charging me a dime.
She says they have already gotten paid by another company, WTF ? -_-
She said once it goes through my bank account will not be touched, but paypal.com thinks differently when they want their money being sent to the right person....

Start checking your accounts to make sure zonealarm hasn't taken 39.90 out of your account....
I am chatting with them in the morning before I leave this house to make sure this deal doesn't turn ugly...

Having to give your CC to get a "free" product should have been a warning in the first place. Last time they gave out ZA for free, they just issued serials via email. This smelled fishy from the start with the CC info being needed which is why i never went through with it. Never give out CC info for something that is said to be "free" that gives them the means to charge you.
