Default Firefox Bookmark Permissions

Bookmark Permissions is a security add-on for the Firefox browser that is compatible with Firefox 2 and Firefox 3 beta. The idea is to set specific permissions for individual bookmarks that override global permissions but only in the direction to reduce the permissions. If Javascript is enabled globally it can be disabled for specific bookmarks but it cannot be the other way round, which means that the add-on cannot turn on Javascript for a bookmark if it is turned off globally.
The following five permissions can be set individually for every bookmark: Images, Javascript, MetaRedirects, Plug-ins, Subframes. The values are default, enabled and disabled. Default is the standard value for each bookmark which simply means that the global permission is being used.
The add-on could come in handy under certain circumstances, e.g. visiting a website regularly but preferring to disable Javascript, subframes and plugins to access the site faster and securer.

One aspect that has to be mentioned is that this only works if the bookmark is opened in a new tab. I use the middle mouse button all the time for a while to open links in a new tab. It takes some time to get used to it but it works really well after a week.
