| in the U.S. when companies schools ect.. buy a large amount of computers they do it under contract. ![]() In the contract it usually states that the old computers will be destroyed. This is a bad thing. Those old computers (which usually are only 3-4 years old and work good) They destroyed good computers which could have been givin to kids hospitals and librarys. please visit my site and spread awareness about this issue. If things go as planned i will get enough support to stop this issue. bravo2 please visit my site!!! http://www.freewebs.com/comrights |

| True Techie | computer recycling has been around for at least a decade one study estimates that by 2005 about 150 million personal computers will be sent to landfills i think the goverment and schools in general must do something to keep our landfill space and reuse the computers but big companies want to keep building their empire and recycle is not in their best intrest and thats why they (companies) make thoses offers ( like 30 % off their prices) with costumer suport ( like if that keeps the cost down ....yea rigth!! )something its got to be done and it must start in our community with our local resources doing boicots if necesary put signs in front of schools telling them what you think
