WiFi access point with P/S 2

I'd like to use my PS 2 on line but running Cat 5 from my router isn't too practical. Is it possible to use a USB WiFi access point for this?

I'm not sure if PS 2 simply looks for a connection or if it would require software to communicate with the access point (which of course you can't install).

I think there is a Wireless adapter by Nyko for the PS2.

I remember seeing it in a Best buy.

yea all the wireless router systems have a thing called a wireless gaming adapter which is just a wireless receiver plugged into the back of the cat5 input in the adapter just search google or ask your local electronic store most of them have it but there isnt a way for a usb wireless to work
