| Can anyone tell me exactly why so many people are hating the PS3 so much even before its release? The only 2 arguments I've heard are lack of games (mostly upon release) and price. The price doesn't bother me simply because of the technology being used (cell processor, bluetooth, Blu-ray, HDMI output, etc.). And I don't think there is any warrant to the "no 3rd party game developers will support the PS3" at this point in time. It has always taken consoles well over a year to "blossom" in terms of games. Are people who love their 360s just wanting to be difficult with the idea of superior hardware? Any ideas or opinions? |

| Monster Techie | Well you just answered your question. Why buy a 600 dollar system when there are no good games upon release and only a small number of good games being scheduled as of now? Who buys a console for something other than games?

| As of now, a $600 Blu-ray player is appealing. Between the new Gran Turismo, Unreal Tournament 2007, Metal Gear Solid 4, NFS Carbon, Formula One '06 (I'm an F1 freak), Devil May Cry 4, and new Final Fantasy games, I'm there. Heck, I'll even play the crap out of some Virtua Fighter 5. There were several reasons I bought an HDTV with an HDMI input, and this was one of them. |

| Monster Techie | Well I buy a console for games, not to watch movies. I would prefer to play fps games on a PC, and I'm not big into racing games. So that narrows down my list of reasons to get a PS3 (keep in mind that I am generally a sony console fan). Devil May Cry 4 looks pretty good. I have been a fan for awhile but the new one seems to be more of the same, so I could live wihtout it if I had to. Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, Fumito Ueda's new game, are the two games that are going to push me into getting the system ... eventually. But if one or more of these games get ported to 360 I'm probably going to say bye bye to sony consoles this generation.

| Only title that you listed that even interess me is DMC4, I will get UT07 for my computer. I will just keep on playing my PS2 for some time to come, there are no titles coming out that can justify that pricetag right now.
