uk/us compatibility

i was just wondering if a mod chip or anything of the sort is needed in order to play european games on my north american ps2. i wasn't sure if it was only japanese games that need the mod chip, or games from the uk too.

Some mod chips boast that they can accomplish that but i'm not really sure if it can play euro ones or not. Best advice : ebay, buy a euro game for cheap and try it out.

if you get a chip it will allow you to play any region game/movie as long as it is ntsc , if its pal it will need patched because a ntsc tv will not accept a pal signal .
