There is no data on playstation 2

My kids Playstation 2 displays the message "There is no Data" on the TV screen, I tried different discs I get the same message every time. any suggestions?

odd, i have never seen that before. I sometimes get "disc read error", are you sure its that exact message?

I would try different game/cables and see what happens.

hmmmm... isnt this to do with no memory cards in the PS2 i swear it is ?
