Sound distorted

On the PS2 i own when i play a game the sound comes out distorted, and at times , unbearable. Does any1 know what could be wrong with it, it plays dvd's fine but it's just on some games such as enter the matrix, pes3 and some others.

Try whacking it with a stick 3 times.

Just kidding. Try using a different rf adapter if you are using one or try a different hook-up. It really helps alot. If not leave the ps2 off for a couple days to clear out some static or dismantle if and give it a thorough cleaning. ( not with water i hope! )

If that still doesnt work, you could always sell it to someone for a hefty amount, save up a few more bucks, and then buy a brand new one

have you tried playing the "distorted" games on another system? it might be that the game itself, not the system is too blame. Just a suggestion.
