| I recently bought a PS2 network adapter and i tried to set it up to play online games but the auto setup would not work and it asked me to do it manually. I have no idea how to configure it can anyone help me? Drworm2005.

| 1.) Do you have a router? 2.) Does your ISP (Internet Service Provider) ask for a username and password to get onto the network (for instance, ppoe)? If you need to have a username and password to get your PC hooked up to the internet in the first place, you will need one for the PS2 probably. I had to configure my PS2 with both my ISP and my router. I was able to do it myself. My brother, who doesn't know alot about computers, called up Sony and they went through step by step with him. Note: My friend and I both have a Linksys router. I can play some one online who doesnt have a router, and so can my friend. However, we have problems playing against each other!!! He works for a network support/telecommunications company and we have spent hours trying to fix the problem, and have yet to do so.
