Default S-ATA in PS2

I was thinking about getting THIS but i was wondering,

Does anyone know if it is possible to put a S-ATA HDD in a PS2?.

I don't think you can put a SATA hard drive into a PS2 because you need the network adapter to use a hard drive, and the network adapter only supports IDE. Maybe it's possible by modding parts, but I'm not sure.
