If there are any games set in the universe, which is rather unlikely, they won't be called Metal Gear Solid. It will be a totally new saga like mgs was to the original metal gear games.

This ties into the Konami quote because a new saga would be affected by any MGS decisions. It's the thing as if an exclusivity agreement is made for mgs4, Konami would still be allowed to release an mgs4: substance type of game.
