PSone contollers not working for PS2 games

I am trying to play FIFA street with a PSone dual shock controller but it does not work. However, the regular PS2 dual shock controller that I have does work. Moreover, the PSone controller works for other games but is not even recognized as a controller when I play FIFA Street. Any suggestions?

I'm assuming your trying to play a PS2 game, if so, some PS2 games do not work with PS1 controllers.

Same story with the G-Con 2.

My G-Con 2 do not want to know any thing about the orginal Time Crisis or a lot of other PS1 light gun games.

Which is sad as their where more light gun games for PS1 as appose to PS2.
